“What you do today can improve your tomorrows .” - anonymous
If you are here I can probably assume that as a business owner, you know firsthand that running a business can slowly consume your life. There is always so much to do in business that most of the time we are running around like a chicken without its head. The to-do lists are endless and no matter how much you do that list just doesn’t seem to get any shorter! SIGH!
Of Course, there are things that are time sensitive and that are completely out of our control but I want to let you in on a little secret. There is so much we CAN do to take control of our time, focus our energy on the things we can and hopefully make that to-do list a lot shorter.
Today I want to share with you 3 simple tricks that have helped me with my productivity:
Take control of your calendar
My biggest tip would be to schedule your business around your life. You absolutely cannot let work consume you because trust me you will burn out and you will lose that motivation and drive to keep moving forward.
I would constantly fill my calendar with all my business stuff and at the end of the day… well there was no day left. You have to take care of yourself to be the best version of yourself. I now book all my nonnegotiable and work my to-do list around that.
Take the time to schedule your content
The beauty of running your own business is that you can really choose when and where you want to work. Don’t stress yourself out and scramble at the last minute looking through your gallery or trying to figure out what to post on your social media.
Pick 1-2 hours out of your week and schedule your posts. Pick all of your pictures, videos, and captions, and just like that you will always have something to post without the stress!
Don’t treat everyone like your prospect
I’m sure you have found yourself talking to someone for days only to figure out that they are not really interested in what you are selling or offering. Been there done that ✋.
Figure out who is actually buying and stick with those people, don’t worry about who is not buying and focus on who is. Don’t try to change someone’s mind because the truth is you more than likely won’t. Not everyone is your perfect prospect.
These 3 strategies have really helped me stay on track and increase my productivity. There is no reason you should stress out about the things you can control.
